Stirling Astronomical Society Gallery

As summer approaches, a number of familiar targets in the Cygnus region are coming back into view. Currently visible in the early hours, by August the Summer Triangle will be high in the evening sky. This image shows the Butterfly Nebula (left) and the bright star Sadr (right of centre). Imaged using narrowband filters.
