The Midsummer Moon, shortly after Last Quarter. This image has been processed to enhance contrast and remove the blue cast. Craters Copernicus and Kepler (surrounded by bright rays) can be seen just above the equator, with bright Aristarchus in the upper left quadrant and the curve of Sinus Iridum towards the top of the image. Craters Wilhelm, Longomontanus and the elongated Schiller are among the craters visible in the heavily cratered southern region.
