The Horsehead and Flame nebulae in Orion. The bright star left of centre is Alnitak, the leftmost star iin Orion's belt. The Flame Nebula (below Alnitak) is an emission region. The Horsehead (centre) is a cloud of obscuring gas and dust in front of the bright red H-alpha emission region behind. Imaged using a Seestar S30.
