Sunspots approaching solar maximum

Solar activity is approaching solar maximum and sunspot numbers remain high. This image shows several groups of sunspots with faculae. Taken using a Herschel wedge fitted with a specialist 540 nm solar continuum filter, which gives the image this green colour.
