The two images above are of a Very bright perseid meteor photographed in the early hours of Aug 13th. This very bright meteor streaked down towards Capella, leaving a strong trail that persisted for at least 30 seconds, slowly twisting and contorting as it dissipated. Luckily, the meteor passed at the start of my exposure. The close-up shows the wisps as the trail drifted and distorted during the rest of the 30-second exposure.
