A waxing gibbous Moon, imaged using a ZWO Seestar S50 automated imaging telescope. The prominent crater Tycho can be seen in the lower part of the image, surrounded by bright rays of ejected material. Similar bright rays of ejecta can be seen around several other craters. Lying on top of earlier features such as the darker maria, these rays indicate that the associated craters were formed more recently than the older features which are overlaid by material thrown out by the impacts.
