The famous Double Cluster in Perseus. Officially designated NGC 869 and NGC 884, these two open clusters are more usually known as h and χ Persei. This image shows the wide range of colours of the relatively young stars in these two clusters. Located between Perseus and Cassiopeia, the Double Cluster is visible to the naked eye from a dark site.
